Its commitment: Nudie Jeans chooses eco-friendly materials for its collections. Since 2012, 100% of its denim has been made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, while its t-shirts are made from Fairtrade-certified organic cotton. In 2018, the brand decided to replace the leather on the patches of its jeans and jackets with a more ethical vegan alternative. Materials such as PET and recycled wool are also used in production. Reuse and recycling play a major role in Nudie Jeans' approach to sustainability. The brand refurbishes discarded jeans that it collects and offers them for sale second-hand. When they cannot be repaired, they are sent to the brand's recycling program. Customers can also have their jeans repaired for life at Nudie Jeans Repair Shops set up by the brand.
